Maya Hawke Marries in New York with Stranger Things Cast in Attendance
According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Maya Hawke married American singer Christian Lee Hutson on Valentine’s Day. The ceremony was held at St. George’s Church in New York, with several cast members from Stranger Things in attendance.
In images released from the event, Hawke’s father Ethan Hawke and mother Uma Thurman were seen outside the church. Stranger Things co-stars Finn Wolfhard, Natalia Dyer, Caleb McLaughlin, Joe Keery, Sadie Sink, and Gaten Matarazzo were present, along with other stars such as Kathryn Newton and Sam Nivola. Following the ceremony, guests celebrated for several hours at the Players Club in New York.
Hawke, 27, and Hutson, 35, were first linked in 2023. Hutson is a Kansas-born singer-songwriter who has released three albums in collaboration with Phoebe Bridgers, as well as Hawke’s albums Moss and Chaos Angel. In 2025, Hawke joined Hutson on stage for a live performance.
In June 2024, Hawke told Variety: “[Hutson] has been incredibly encouraging of me as a musician and helped me grow from being the poet in a band to truly becoming a musician.”
In an interview on The Zach Sang Show, Hawke advised others to date their friends: “It’s the best thing. They know you. They understand that you’re human and that you’ve dated other people… you’re not just a blank piece of paper for someone to project their idea of a perfect girlfriend onto.”
Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, who were married from 1998 to 2005, also share a 24-year-old son, Levon Roan Thurman-Hawke, who was seen at the ceremony.
